Bingo, the narrative about Cruz only being about religion may look good to the media but he has a very strong libertarian following based on things like his 10th amendment stance, taxes etc.
On Kennedy’s panel yesterday (their a bunch of libertarians) they think Trump’s noninterventionist platform will draw former Rand support. Honestly I can’t see Cruz or Rubio getting much since as sitting senators are seen part of the problem. Cruz televangelist style, and Rubio’s hawkish talk are turns offs for that demo.
The media is not the only group touting Cruz’s religion. Many Freepers here have determined he is the most ‘righteous’ of candidates. Cruz himself picks and chooses when to put his religion front and center.
