Cruzers have been doing the "fake conservative" chant since day one!
The venom started when Trump and his supporters here went birther on Cruz instead of disagreeing on policy.

A lot of the Cruz people had Trump as their #2 choice. Some did question his liberal positions he bragged about. But many weren’t aware of his history, like people in the metro NY area.
In ant event he has lost 25% of his support and is dropping like a rock so soon it will be a moot point.
