Donald Trump boasted that he attracted a record-setting crowd to a livestock arena at the Arkansas State Fairgrounds on Wednesday night, but photos taken while he spoke inside the Barton Coliseum tell a different story.

The Coliseum manager and fire marshal came out before Trump had even arrived and announced that the all-time attendance record for Barton Coliseum (dating back to 1974) had been broken. The new record is 12,507.. the old record was 11,471.

Trump said 15,000 attended the Tulsa rally, 10,000 inside and 5,000 turned away. Inside was probably 8,500 to 9,000 which is kind of close. In talking to arena staff some time after the event, I was told the actual number of people turned away was ... drum roll ... 12. It seems Mr. Trump gets bad data from his staff, or lies.
