Exactly.

And something else to be considered: For Trump to claim votes were taken away because of the reaction to a missive relayed by the Cruz campaign presses the notion they were simple waifs manipulated by that single statement. By that logic, in this age of instant access to information, not a single caucus participant would’ve had the presence of mind to take a minute, go online and actually verify the report.

Trump would have us believe masses of voters just took it all at face value and migrated straight to Cruz. What does that say about Trump’s opinion of voters?

What does it say toward how Cruz thinks about the voters? No other campaign even tried that sleazy tactic. So Cruz must think it had some merit..now why is that?

I don't have regard for Rove. He made two salient points. One that when Cruz said they sent along the missive to his staff, he didn't mean his campaign team, he meant the caucus chairs in Iowa. The second point was with 1590 precincts in IA, if that caused only 4 people to change their vote per precinct, that was Trump's gap right there.

I don't personally believe that. But I do feel a caucus chairman holds a lot of sway in a precinct while a caucus is going on. When Candy Carson showed up at one caucus, the Carson team leader ran to her, gave her the news, and she spoke for a bit and said it was a total lie.

Finally, the first tweet about all this was from Cruz' campaign by Gabriel, his PR director, who then tried to blame it on the Trump campaign. He deleted the tweets later into the night... this is what is really being hidden by the campaign:
