Tonight Rick Santorum will be on Greta Van Sustern’s show on FoxNews. Donald Trump will also be on the show. Do the math.
If it happens, this is too bad. I’ve never been a Rick Santorum fan but I’ve always respected his passion for his beliefs. Hopefully, I am reading too much into the tea leaves here. But if he endorses Trump it will mean that he has effectively jettisoned the social conservatism that has been his raison d’être in order for whatever pottage Donald Trump provides.
Sad if true. Makes it seem that his pro-life, conservative persona was just a convenient shtick to fool the rubes. Or that he got his feelings hurt that social conservatives preferred Cruz over him, so he will support the liberal. In any case, I doubt that many of his supporters will follow him down that path.
Or maybe a lot of people just don’t find the Cruz Family Goldman Sachs Values to be authentic social conservatism? This is a 3 horse race now and two candidates are picking up major endorsements. That should be setting off alarm bells for Team Cruz. There’s something rotten in Denmark and it isn’t the cheese.
No people have despised Santorum here for 8 years.
If so it proves what we have known all along.

The bottom line is, I just don’t trust Trump not to flip flop if he becomes President. Cruz, I trust. That’s the way it is.
