They’re cracking up. They don’t know which Cruz issue will catch up to him first, but on some level they know he’s unsustainable. It’s causing splits in their personality, and they have no recollection of what their alter egos are up to. It’s sad.
Perhaps we should humor this one, and go along with his pretend innocence. It’s the most humane thing to do.
