RE: The Cruz team tweet was 34 seconds after the CNN report

Also, Interestingly, Carson was at 7.7 in the final average of polls at real clear politics. Trump was at 28.6

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2016/president/ia/iowa_republican_presidential_caucus-3194.html

Trump ended the night with 24% and Carson ended up with 9%. So Carson ended “better” than his final poll numbers.

Trump is not alleging that Trump’s own numbers were affected by Cruz campaign “dirty tricks”. Trump ended the night 4.5 down from his last polling numbers.

Here’s what really needs to be done.... ( this from me, a Cruz supporter ):

What needs to happen though is Ben Carson filing a formal complaint with the FEC and then finding a few people who actually changed their vote to Cruz based on the false information put out by the Cruz camp about Carson leaving the race. Then you have a legitimate case against Cruz.

The mouth has been harping that Ted is ineligible for Months.

Now that he got beat in Iowa he can claim Victim hood. So with the Mouth of Manhattan having standing as a aggrieved party, file suit to challenge Crux’s eligibility.

What say you Donnie? No way. He’s all bluster.

legitimate case against Cruz.

What would that ligitimate claim be? It was based on a CNN report that was based statement made by Carson’s own campaign? This needs to die an early death, it is no more than nitpicking crocodile tears.

No, you might have a legitimate case against CNN though. Unless you could prove that the Cruz people or the Rubio people KNEW that what they were saying was false, then you have no case. And since what they were saying was based on what CNN was reporting, even if you think they jumped to a wrong conclusion, you could not prove they knew it was false.

Actually, even if they knew it was false you might not have a case. Consider that it is very difficult to sue anyone over the content of a political ad, even if the content is false. Political speech is the most protected speech under the Constitution.

Exactly what was false about the information? Carson’s actions justified the conclusion that he was planning to suspend his campaign. Fact is that Carson’s whole campaign has been lacking in discipline.
