I have a suggestion that I recently learned from an action that the Cruz campaign was complimented for; well maybe complicated is not the best characterization but from a business standpoint it seemed to be a good idea.
The idea being to point out directly by name to certain participants who benefit from other nice people’s efforts without an equal effort on their part. Sort of like a past due reminder.
FreeRepublic is a community but not a communist community and perhaps people that have just forgot should be nudged to step up and participate. No excuse, as the site owner prompts all as do other fine people that donations are needed. Jim is quite open with all this site’s financial affairs to an extent way beyond what is legally called for. We all are so fortunate.
IMHO It is humiliating to have to rountinly ask for support from so many people that count on FreeRepublic; dammit Just step up and donate you slackers. That is right I said it. At minimum, no one should be able to post unless they are paid subscribers in good standing. Read for free but pay to play.
Cruz let it publicly be known just who previously voted in the Iowa caucus by sending out a post card to voters who no doubt should be appreciative of the information because they are special and just got very busy and overlooked their obligation to vote.
