Government Survey Asks 13-Year-Olds to Pick Their Gender (or Genders) from a List of 25
Sorry, but “gender fluid” sounds just...messy.
THANK YOU for shouting.
Since as early as the 1940s, teens graduating from Glastonbury High School have been separated by colors ~ boys wore black or blue gowns and girls wore white.
But the days of students graduating with different-colored gowns are over. After meeting with members of the school's Gay Straight Alliance Club, Principal Nancy Bean recently changed the policy. Now students at June's graduation will wear blue gowns with white sashes with the school's name and town seal embroidered on them. Bean announced the decision to students last week.
"A group of kids and teachers wanted to see the change," Bean said. "We no longer wanted to focus on colors that defined gender. They thought it was an antiquated tradition. Not everyone will agree with this, but this is the best for all kids."
Ginna Brelsford, co-executive director of the Gay-Straight Alliance Network in Oakland Calif., said Tuesday she congratulated Glastonbury's club on its "successful campaign to change the divisive graduation gown policy."
"Such evolutions on long-standing policies are critical to creating a space for transgender and nonbinary students to thrive without worrying about how they fit into an outdated, unsupportive dress code," she said. "For students who are already out as transgender or nonbinary, this is a relief, and for students who are not out, this sends the message that they don't have to fit themselves into a box that they're not comfortable with in order to celebrate a great life achievement by walking across the stage and getting their diploma in front of their family and peers. We hope more schools who still have this divisive policy will follow Glastonbury's lead."

From the superintendent:
We make administrative decision every day," added Bookman. "We make decisions in the best interests of all students."
I made that same comment on yahoo and got a few thumbs downs. Then I replied that the thumbs down meant they did not understand science.
That list left out attaboy.
Clearly this list discriminates against the followers of Islam.
There is no option given for “goat.”
Or Amphibious.
Meanwhile the jihadies are laughing at this show of societal weakness.
Tri-gender? I’m afraid to ask.
I know what you are saying...I have done the same on YAHOO pertaining to this issue and others, such as “Global Warming”...YAHOO is usually overwhelmingly liberal socialists...
It is kinda fun to ruffle their feathers, though...LOL
With the possibilities there can only be four:
Male
Female
Both
None
99.9% fall into the first two.
.099% are both or ambiguous at birth.
.001% are neither. I have only known of one.
Anything else is mental and unrelated to sex.
Never mind that at any age past 12, it’s so much fun to lie on dumb ashed surveys.
I’ve have written in the box that Greys don’t have genders.
People that push for this in a forceful manner can be called Demi-gogues.
Before long, it will be a chargeable offense to refuse to participate in such a survey.
I’d write “Elf” under the other category.
The best answer to this survey would be “don’t expect me to take this idiocy seriously”.
Brace yourself: when I was a civilian employee for the Air Force I worked briefly in the Civilian Personnel Directorate of my local AF base. In 2002, there were on separate occasions two white guys who came into my office wanting to change their racial classification. To my surprise, we had such a form for that purpose. They requested to be re-classified as “Native American”. I guess “white privilege” wasn’t working too well for them. Such is the Never-Never Land of the US civil service.
