In some ways, the nation owes Ted Cruz a measure of gratitude for taking the wind out of the sails (however briefly) of Donald Trump, who suddenly doesn't seem as invincible as he did last week. But we're still left with a bipartisan electoral nausea, upon realizing that 51,000 people in Iowa are still unable to recognize that the senator from Texas is more extreme and just as politically unhinged as the GOP frontrunner.

Is anyone willfully residing in a state regarded by much of the nation as their ‘worst nightmare’ really going to have the brass neck to complain about others?
I guess these people just walk past their 20 ft fence topped with razor wire that surrounds their parking lot (fact) and keep plugging away at the leftist dream despite the nightmare they’ve facilitated outside.
Cruz cannot walk the talk.
Communist propaganda.
What else would you expect? A liberal newspaper editorial board squealing.
Reminds me of the BS about Reagan in 1980.
How did they measure "frontrunner"?
Or are they talking about someone else from Texas?
"politically unhinged"? Just a mite pejorative, ya think?
Oh, it's a noo Joisey rag. Not quite as 'valued' as noo yawk.
Love him but Cruz has little chance to overcome this lefty press in the first place. If hes the nominee he’s limited to the inside straight potential where u have o win Ohio and cant lose any red states at all. He already has to pick pick Kasich for VP. He has to stop acting like a Shaker on stage or he’ll become a laughing stock of theirs.
Go Cruz!
I'll be damned if the media (or fear of them) is going pick my candidate.
Oh shut up leftists (not you OP). That’s like us telling you that Zell Miller would be a better candidate than the criminals and marxists you have running.
Yawn, Whatever candidate win they will say the same.... blah blah blah blah blah.
There is a vast difference between ‘no idea’ and ‘differing opinions.’
You’re smarter than that.
Dialogue from The Big Bang Theory:
Sheldon: How can I believe anything you’ve me? How do I know you’re even from New Jersey?
Leonard: Who would lie about being from New Jersey?
Sheldon: Point taken.
“Just stay out of 4 or 5 cities that you have no need to ever visit and it’s all good. Just like most other states.”
It’s those 4/5 cities that choose who wins Jersey. Like Philly in PA.
Exactly. Pretending to be surprised that conservative voters would want a conservative candidate. When McCain ran, who was no conservative’s dream, they found fault with him too. It’s one thing to honestly oppose a conservative (though their political philosophy is wrong in doing so), it’s another to tell conservatives that they shouldn’t vote for a conservative and pretend that they’re doing it to “help” us choose a “better” candidate (one more to their liking, in case we win).
Something that the media never mentions is “Why is Cruz so extreme?” The assumption here is he is so far out of the mainstream that his policies are too radical for the mainstream.
I think those policies are called constitutional and the only ones who don’t play by those rules are democrats. Which of course we know this as “projection’ and CDS (Conservative Derangement Syndrome.”
Only “unhinged” to unhinged leftists, to whom anyone right of Stalin is non-mainstream.
Absolutely, those cities carry the state every time. But the rest of the state varies greatly. My district is very conservative. My congressman, Garrett, is as conservative as any other congressman from any other state.
So very true.
