We will have to agree to disagree. I think Cruz did the right thing to apologize once it was clear that the original report was in error, but to share breaking information that is relevant was not improper.

Think about it from the other direction. What if the news WAS correct and Carson was planning on quitting right after the caucus. As a Carson voter, wouldn't you want to know that before you cast your vote and maybe use your vote to support one of the candidates staying in the race? Wouldn't you at least want that option?
