He did start carrying a Bible like a prop. But he plainly said he is a Presbyterian, not an Evangelical as you posted.

The problem was that he didn't carry a big enough Bible, obviously. He needs one of those big hardback, "large print" Bibles that look like a dictionary, so nobody can miss it.
