I’m a Trump supporter but I gotta agree with Rush. DJT should not have attacked Cruz with the Canadian birther garbage and then calling him a liar. He should stick with hitting Cruz as being a politician and not having the business acumen to deal with the economy and such like he can. Trump hurt himself mostly.

I have a feeling the whole Iowa deal has been calculated by Trump or his highly paid research team. He is going to get nominated his way or no way. I think he understands the media more than anyone gives him credit for. He wants other candidates in close proximity so to spread the attention around instead of just zeroing in on him. As you can see Cruz and Rubio are being torn a new one by the press as Trump supposedly sits in the corner licking his hurt paw.
I think Trump did very well in Iowa given all the factors.

Apparently, they don't get out much there and see that the state is over run with illegals. Or maybe they do and they are just so cucked out, they don't care. Who knows. I just know IF I lived in Iowa and every third person I met was Mexican, I'd be a little freaked out because it's frikking Iowa.
If the road was clear, the weather great, and I had plenty of gasoline, I’d cruise (Cruz) around in a Rolls Royce, but, with the highways crumbling, and the global warming fraud, and the economy in shambles, I’ll need a bulldozer (Trump).
It’s going to take some grit to undo eight years of the train wreck in office now. Cruz is too “nice” to do all that needs doing.

Trump has the ability and the guts to take out anyone who crosses him. If he’d do it with the adult sophistication that he must have somewhere in his person.. he’d attract voters instead of turning them away. His uncouth way of dishing out insults is getting old to a lot of people who don’t usually talk that way.
I was behind Trump.. and not so much now.. because he’s not gotten the hang of how to do what needed to be done.. with dignity. He can be charming.. he gave a good speech last night.. but then he goes off on his elementary language which is not helping him at this point.
This was posted earlier today in another thread and very concisely sums up what Iowa produced politically.
Iowa was a three way tie. Cruz got 8 delegates, Trump 7 and Rubio got 7.
Cruz didn't win, and Trump nor Rubio lost. It was a tie. And I see this as very reflective of the current state of the GOP.
Trump pulled roughly 1/3 of the GOP with mostly anti-establishment voters.
Cruz pulled roughly 1/3 with conservatives
Rubio pulled the establishment voters.
