Rules may not have been broken but it was slimy and underhanded. That may not bother people like you but it doesn’t sit well with honest folk.
Carson’s own camp basically put out a report that said their candidate was packing it in. Repeating that isn’t slimy, and the truth is, Carson’s been in such a free-fall since his peak that there’s no legit reason for him to still be in the race anyway.
There was nothing slimy about reacting to a news report of Carson taking a break.
Carson was stupid for making such an easy to misconstrue comment just before the caucus.
