You are an infidel politically, religiously and culturally - you are fair game. It is part of their culture to treat outsiders politely and be nice. Something most mistake as being ‘moderate’ or ‘secular.’ (A ‘secular’ muslim is not a muslim, and is fair game for any believer - like a Jew, a Christian, an atheist, a pagan, a Hindu are all fair game.)

Christianity is not opposed to the the Constitution of the United States. Islam is.
