SamAdams76, your post was the most sensible I’ve seen, after reading 1776 of them.

I never worried about Jeb; I knew he wasn’t popular. I was hoping one of our great governors, Walker or Jindal, would do well, but neither caught the public imagination. Neither of them are a Reagan, although they’re fine governors.

“If Ted wins, he worked hard for it and that’s fine by me.
I agree. Ted poured his heart and soul into Iowa. As a Trump supporter, I don’t consider it shameful if he does finish 3-5 points behind. Nor will I consider Cruz’s performance shameful should he end up losing.

I said at the beginning of the night that if the “good guys” finished with over 50% of the vote, I’d consider the night a victory as it would box out the GOPe candidate (Rubio). As a matter of fact, Carson is holding steady at 10% so we are talking nearly 65% of the vote between Trump, Cruz and Carson. Who would have predicted this a year ago? A year ago, we were all pretty much resigned to a Jebbie Bush coronation and there he sits at 2-3%. He’s not going anywhere.

Although he’s well back in 3rd, Rubio is doing too strongly for my liking. He’s up to 22% right now. We Freepers need to stop taking potshots at each other and turn our attention to Rubio, who will come out of this night with much momentum and will give the GOPe new hope that they can divide us and steal this nomination after all.”

Maybe now that Rubio is the man of the hour and all eyes are on him, we’ll see if he can withstand the barrage that is to come, if he comes out of it relatively unscathed, I hate to say it, he is going to be tough to beat.

Absolutely spot on. The lamestream media is going to anoint Rubio the "big winner" even though Cruz won the night. Both Cruz and Trump need to go full bore against this amnesty loving loser and push him to third place in NH.
