I’ve been a Cruz guy, but lately finding him a bit oily. I’d trust him with the football though.

I saw him at his fourth and last campaign stop on a hot August evening in Georgia where he started at the Red State convention in the morning and went to three other cities in his bus with Heidi and the girls covering several hundred miles, finishing at about 9PM.

He gave a full speech, stayed to talk to folks, reporters, etc. At every stop, I imagine someone is waiting for him to say the wrong thing or to show weakness. He signed my book, and was very pleasant to me personally.

To some degree, you have to be a bit of a machine to do what he is doing. 99 Iowa counties in winter is no treat. He has the fire in his belly. He also has an organized plan, and a strategy that has proven to win in a tough race after his worst week in the campaign.

I'd trust him with the football as well.

I agree that I’d be happy with a Cruz presidency though I am supporting trump. I’d trust him with the football too.

I just don’t know if he could win.
