It was a early kill shot for Trump if he pulled it off. But he didn’t.

It was absolutely necessary for Cruz - and he pulled it off.

Cruz had the grassroots, Trump had the big picture. In Iowa the grassroots won.

I bash Cruz a lot here, but if it eventually is him or Rubio, I’m all in for Cruz. I still think Trump has moves to make, way too early.

Trump gambled on the debate thing and it backfired. We’ll see how he adjusts.

The debate was really a no-win scenario for Trump. Having said that, no-showing was still probably making the best of a bad situation.

He may still have some moves, but he'll be going from presumptive winner to loser who almost came in third.

I don't know that's the case. How well would he have done in the debate that was actually an ambush?
