To: pax_et_bonum

I did some googling, from a web site put out by Breckinridge, Colorado it appears that the town was named after the Confederate Secretary of War, I got it wrong I thought he was their Vice President.

Wow! Thanks! I had no idea.

Don’t know much yet about Colorado, except that it’s a lot cooler than Texas!

No he was vice president of the us before the war. Ran for president of the split democrat party for president in 1860 the other democrat candidate being Stephen Douglas. During the war he was a confederate General from Kentucky even though Kentucky remained in the union
