Absolutely correct. Even if Cruz wins, the media will give all the attention to Rubio as the comeback kid and the new darling of the establishment. I don't think I can listen to anymore of Rubio's rehearsed speeches.

Nothing absurd about it...if the discussion is immigration policy. Rubio is Obama light on that issue.
I hope this holds. The coolest part will be that the pollsters were wrong. Well, no. The coolest part will be a Cruz win, since I like him. But the other is a close, sweet second.

If Cruz wins this, it will be interesting to see Trump’s talking points going forward. Will he continue to obsess and talk about how he’s “leading all the polls�
Rubio is the story tonight and that is what Trump will be focusing on. Cruz got out the Holy Roller vote and we move on to NH.
Trump already did that....perhaps they remember. I sure would.
I am for Cruz, I have avoided just about every thread recently because of the insane cult of Trump. I have no desire to make myself a target of the nasty name calling. I am lurking tonight. I have seen a lot of elections and consider Iowa an indicator of who will drop out; not who will win. I am glad Cruz is winning just because I hope that things will tone down around here. I fear that it will not.

Same here, I’ve posted a few times but skipped most of the treads because of the level of discussion.
We don’t need an “alpha male.” We’re not a tinpot third world dictatorship. Intelligence is what we need and what Cruz delivers.

It’s not as crazy a theory as it might sound. Some of Trump’s attacks were so bizarre sounding that that would explain it. “Nobody likes him.” Really?

I know many of you will say "Who's Martin O'Malley?" but being that the Democrat contest is currently 51-49% between Shrillary and Bernie, it would appear that Iowa is wondering who Martin O'Malley is as well.
