Remember the Urban Legend about George H.W. Bush not knowing that supermarkets used bar code scanners at the checkout? Despite the fact that there was no truth to the story, the media was more than happy to treat it as fact, and used it to ridicule Bush. Now, instead of using Hillary’s supposed lack of basic computer skills as a basis for criticism, it’s being used to justify her mishandling of Top Secret information.

I also remember the ‘Bush out of touch’ meme. IIRC, he was actually at an exposition of supermarket equipment (not at the corner store, as the media portrayed it). And the vendor was showing off a scanner that could read damaged bar codes. Bush was acting like a good ‘guest’ and saying ‘wow, that’s impressive’ when the technology was demonstrated to him.
