Fair enough. I don’t advocate either as well. Some people do smoke weed every couple of months, and not daily. IMHO, alcohol has more deleterious effects on society than weed.

I am just pointing that out, not saying it *proves* anything one way or another.
And certainly, whatever the evils of pot (and I do believe that there are many, especially for young brains in school), they pale in comparison to the evils of the War on Drugs which has become a fast-track to giving the very worst elements in our society incredible amounts of power.
I wish people didnt want to smoke pot, but there is no way I want to militarize my local police and turn the courts into a property-confiscation conspiracy just to stop people from smoking pot.
I dislike pot. I *hate* doors being smashed in by goon squads and houses being confiscated by effete elite fascist judges.
“Some people do smoke weed every couple of months, and not daily.”
In 2104, 13.2% of Americans had used pot in the past year but only 8.4% in the past month - so 36% of past-year users were not past-month users. (http://www.samhsa.gov/data/sites/default/files/NSDUH-DetTabs2014/NSDUH-DetTabs2014.htm#tab1-1b)
Yup Im in my 60’s and had a lot of hard drinking friends who are no longer with us, And I know weed smokers who been smoking since high school and never stopped and they play golf daily.
