Mercer lawfully tries to pay as little tax as possible just like Trump lawfully tries to pay as little tax as possible. In fact Trump unapologetically boasts about fully exploiting the tax code. Trump says, "I pay as little as possible. I use every single thing in the book. And I have great people". And that's what Mercer is doing.
