Ted Cruz needs you to trust him.
Trust is the cornerstone of this fiery conservative's campaign, which may live or die with his ability to convince voters in Iowa and across the nation that he's the most consistent and trustworthy among the pack of White House hopefuls.
Yet as he strives for victory in Iowa's Monday caucuses, a chorus of Republican critics led by Florida Sen. Marco Rubio is tearing at the fabric of Cruz's message.
His GOP opponents cite a history of political opportunism they say is more in line with a used car salesman than the "consistent conservative" he claims to be. In debates, TV ads and on the campaign trail, fellow Republicans are highlighting inconsistencies in Cruz's policies on immigration, foreign policy and even his dedication to Christian conservative values. They're also reminding voters that the self-described outsider is an Ivy League-educated lawyer who served in former President George W. Bush's administration.
"If you are going to campaign as the most principled, the most consistent conservative, then your record better support that," said Rubio's senior strategist Todd Harris. "As long as he holds himself out to be holier than thou on all things conservative, we're going to continue to point out that he's not."

I trust Ben Carson more than anybody on that stage. His problem for me after sending him a nice sum was that he just was not up to speed on global issues. He is getting better but he should have been up to speed from the gitgo. I actually do trust Kasich to do what he says. He has an exceptional record of doing just that. I just do not agree with his brand of conservatism
Cruz is a lawyer and a politician. Both are professions where misleading people is part of the game. Trump is a businessman. People in business have to prove that they are trustworthy or no one will continue to do business with them. I do not trust Cruz; I trust Trump.
These are rather silly articles when you get right down to it. You just need to look at Cruz’ voting record. Who does Cruz most often vote with in the Senate? Tim Scott. Pretty darn conservative, by any measure. Who does Cruz most often vote against? Chuck Schumer. Pretty darn conservative, by any measure.https://www.opencongress.org/people/voting_history/412573_Ted_Cruz
“Make America Great Again” notwithstanding, the campaign actually seems to be about tearing down everyone who doesn’t genuflect to the candidate.
You gain no cred here posting from this source.
I’m with you. I have caught myself looking elsewhere. Anyone know anything about Gilmore?
I do post stuff about Trump. It may be that you don’t see them. I post things that I feel are important for voters to know. People have a right not to click on my posts.
> ABC Snooze doesnât trust Cruz?
And they don’t mention the elephant in the room - Hillary? OK, they do say a liar isn’t going to beat Hillary, which must be because she is so darn practiced at it.
Cruz is screwing up bigtime.
Trump is hitting on all cylinders, watching his three rallies yesterday there’s no question about the level of support for what he is doing.
I do not know Kasich very well. I base my lack of trust solely on the fact that he was trumpeting Judeo-Christian values out of one side of his mouth while being a social liberal in policy positions. They do not go together and therefore, no trust.
I trust Cruz as much as Carson. To me the charges against Cruz are not valid. I think Carson is honest and smart. You are correct, though, he needs to be up to speed on all of it. If I agreed with him on my key issues, I would overlook some of that. He is smart enough to handle it. Carson is the most likable of all. If there were a Congeniality prize, he would easily win. LOL. We should make him a ribbon to wear: Mr. Congeniality.
Money quote from this voter, and it seems to sum up the attitude of many of Cruz's supporters.
Trump who?
Has the Hildabeast ever received a “Facing Growing Attacks on Credibility” headline? Correct me if I am wrong.....
Forgot Fiorina. I have no reason to distrust her, but I do disagree with her on some issues very important to me.
Nope. Cruz is liar. That’s a fact. He said that Trump bulldozed the old lady’s home in Atlantic City. He ran ads about it. Said he approved the message. Lie.
Then there’s the poison pill lie about his pro amnesty position. I’m not even going to get into that.
Bingo
Trump rabids or the left don’t care one wit, the object is to destroy him.
I guess people supporting other candidates don’t like Trump either...

Beck has a Beck problem.
He needs to stfu and go away.
For folks who know Ted Cruz, this is all nothing more than 11th hour desperation on the part of the phony brigade. We know who the liars are, and who the truth tellers are. We know who is consistent and who isn’t. We know who keeps his word. we are not going to be swayed by this kind of hogswallop.
All quite independent of who wins and who loses.
Great points.
