Sharyl Attkisson's Full Measure We're with Donald Trump on the ground in Iowa, on the eve of the first-in-the-nation Caucuses.
Well, please give the credit to Rodguy911. He sent it to me for posting.
I hope he’s catching a big, long bonefish right about now!
Dang, that sounds gay. Let's say I hope he's catching a big red snapper...
Given the fact we have 300,000 anchor babies born here each year to illegal aliens in addition to hundreds of thousands of Americans being born overseas to Americans working and living overseas, the need to resolve this is urgent. The movement of people around the globe is far more prevalent now than ever before. For example, over 50 million people a year visit the US as tourists or on business every year. The children born to tourists are US citizens by birth.
Actually donated to Cruz and now think that Trump is going to take it all and Cruz’s citizenship won’t matter.
That said, one missed tactic Republican candidates could have used was somehow suggested Trump was suspending his campaign when he opted out of the debate, for example Jeb could have asked the moderators ‘he may have run out of energy, has he suspended his campaign too?’
Great point, John!
Interesting, because IIRC, Cruz very much approved of (now) Chief Justice Roberts, right along with notable liberals Harvard Law Professor Tribe, Cass Sunstein and that lawyer the Clintons’ use, Lloyd Cutler.
I agree and I’m a Catholic - I hate that many of the Bishops and churches are supporting illegal immigration. I totally get and understand that they support the poor and downtrodden and in many respects appreciate that; however, like Trump has said many times, “if we don’t have a border, we don’t have a country”. I’m all for helping, but we can’t keep continuing to let people into this country and supporting them for life - we have too many US citizens that, unfortunately, need help - let’s start with the Vets.
FWIW not every Amcit mother can transmit even regular US citizenship to a child born abroad. There are conditions that circumscribe derivative citizenship.
The courts have a de facto officer doctrine that keeps all the actions or a usurper in place.
-- ... expunging Obama from the country works for me. --
Me too. It's possible, and not as much of an upheaval as people think. Let him finish his term, and it's a lesson learned the hard way.
-- The whole argument failed with Obama. Let it die. --
Sigh. You may be right, and that is certainly the path of least resistance.
See my post number 12.
That kind of talk isn't helpful. Why do you do that?
Note: I'd say the same to anyone saying Cruzeteers, too.
Let's be civil to EACH OTHER HERE.
But I agree, the CIA wouldn't have anything to do with Trump's security. They might have heard things overseas and passed it along, but they wouldn't be overseeing the security details.
As I mentioned last week, I’m sick and tired of him saying, “when I’m president”. That little rat should no sooner be president than I should be (I’d actually probably do better as I’m far more conservative, would start cleaning house in all the alphabet agencies, seal the border, get rid of Obummer’s EOs as well as others, insist that the Constitution be upheld, an start with zero base budgeting, to name a few).
I’ve noticed that he often wears this navy jacket with Marco Rubio or marcorubio.com on the left side - it reminds me of the jacket that W sometimes wore with the Presidential seal in the same place. Seems to me that it’s another way that he’s trying to instill in LIV minds that he’s presidential from a psychological standpoint - maybe it’s just me b/c he bugs me so much. I was actually happy when he won the FL Senator race, but after the Gang of 8 and listening to him now - I’d really need a big clothespin for my nose to vote for him and I’m not sure they make one that big.
And, in reply, as I said before, you just never know.
I’m sure Reagan thought Sandra Day O’Conner and Kennedy would judge conservatively, or at least follow the Constitution.
My point was that same thing could happen to Cruz.
Frankly, I’m all for Cruz being on the Supreme Court! Best damn mind I could think of to weigh Constitutional issues as our founding document was written; better than Bork even.
I agree completely!
Why can’t they just wait a few more months and let the PEOPLE decide via the upcoming election?
Roberts is an activist. He needs to go.
Cruz should slap him for free (Chris)
Thank you. This is the single most important reason I support Cruz. Who the candidates will nominate for the Supreme Court is far and away the most important issue to me.
Immigration laws can change. Tax laws can change. SC decisions are good, at the minimum, for decades. And the justices will be there for decades as well.
There is ONE way I could vote for Donald Trump. If he would promise to let Cruz select his SC nominees, I’d overlook all his other leftwing positions. Not that that would ever happen - but this is that important.
Hank
And of course Wallace had to bring up some article about how much money Trump had given previously to the vets vs. what he gave to the Clinton library.
And Wallace also brought up the comment Trump made about Ivanka having her baby in Iowa! It was a JOKE you humorless people at Fox.
Wallace was very rude to Cruz and his “tone” was different to Trump.
Thanks for the reply and update wrt green cards. I agree about the Dreamers - it’s the children after all (even if some may be gang members).
Ted Cruz cannot ever be elected POTUS. If Cruz wins the Republican nomination, not only will we lose the POTUS...but, we will lose the Senate!!! Cruz would be the weakest of candidates. He will attracrt zero crossover voters, Reagan Democrats, Industial union voters, African-Americans, Hispanics, Other minorities, Women, Moderate voters...etc.
Just the fact that idiot Cruz chose Nutcase Glenn Beck as a major supporter kills his chances. Most American voters think Glenn Beck has a screw loose....he does!!! Voters in Iowa, Evangicals or not...have to puffing on reefer to vote for Ted Cruz or, they are simply...plain insane!!! Go figure what these folks are thinking!!! GO DONALD TRUMP....the only Republican, Conservative that wil win for sure, by attracting crossover votes from th entire political spectrum!!! Iowa votes....vote for Donald Trump to save Iowa and the entire nation. Vote for Ted Cruz if you want see the American dream fail!!!
Sorry, but I don’t like or trust Trump. I will have to talk real hard to myself to vote for him.
