Remember the connector from the 1980s that threaded a pistol barrel to a soda pop bottle? It really worked for several rounds! My FIREPOWER magazine referred to it as the PEPSI CHALLENGE later changed to the POPSI Challenge.

They sell an adapter to use an automobile oil filter as a silencer. Look it up on YouTube. Works really well.

Pistol, revolver or semi-automatic?

When you say it worked, do you mean noise was suppressed and accuracy didn’t suffer?

Can’t for the life of me figure out how that works. Long time ago, I put a 2L bottle against the muzzle of my Ruger wheel gun. OK, I could see cutting a slot for the front sight, but...then...what. Can’t sight it on a target. Any video around showing how to? Til I see evidence, I’m filing this with the potato silencer. That works if you put it in sock and swing hard.

Serious question, BTW.
