Former University of Missouri President Tim Wolfe, who resigned from his post amid protests over the school's handling of racial matters on campus, sent a confidential email to supporters last week complaining about the incident.
In the email, which was leaked to local media, Mr. Wolfe compiled a list of people he believed made it impossible for him to keep his job at the university, including outgoing Chancellor R. Bowen Loftin, ex-Mizzou football coach Gary Pinkel and the players that joined a strike, and an unnamed "significant Ferguson protester," most likely a reference to Black Lives Matter activist DeRay McKesson.
...."The football team's decision to strike is what actually brought most of the national attention to our university," Mr. Wolfe wrote, according to images of the email published by The Kansas City Star.
"In hindsight the $1 million penalty associated with forfeiting the game against BYU would have paled in comparison to the more than $25 million in lost tuition fees MU will realize with reduced enrollment this Fall. Itâs also a pittance of the threatened loss of state funding that could be as much as $500 million," Mr. Wolfe continued.

Sounds like he got the shaft.
Is Wolfe one of those “useful idiots” liberals that Lenin spoke about? He must have not know what struck him.
Sadly, Mizzou will be going in the abyss sports and academic wise now for many years.
Another victim of the negroid Nazis ruling America
At the same time he had no backbone either.
No, he didn’t do or say anything when he might have made a difference. He should have fired the coach and cut off his benefits, and then cut off the scholarships for any player who cut practice or a game.
The Precious Little Snowflakes at Mizzou deserve everything they got coming.
Of course he got the shaft - the mob wanted blood and they got it.
This is the problem with mob politics mired with political correctness. I did not always agree with the man, but the worst shafting I ever saw (very similar to this) was the Trent Lott controversy for saying kind words about Strom Thurmond. Look at all the “nice things” said about Robert Byrd - ironic and very Orwellian.
If he had not rolled over like a whore and stood up to them, he may have persevered.
Looking back, how would his final outcome have been worse if he had fired the coach and terminated the players?
When dealing with the Left, never apologize, never give in to their demands, always attack. Apologies will NEVER be accepted, they will take you down even harder, because they see you as being weak.
That's something I admire about Trump: he never backs down when somebody says they're "offended". And it WORKS!
Deray the Gay.
