This is what scares me about the Trump mentality.
Apparently it is obvious to any dispassionate observer that Trump mocked a reporter’s handicap.
Okay, he didn’t cut off anyone’s head or beat 50 puppies with a hammer but he did do that one thing.
Any criticism of Trump sets off some sort of trigger in the Trump follower’s brain, forcing him or her to say things like, “ Your a liar. Jeb campaign. You are a coward and a liar.”
This politically correct mindset is something many handicapped people resent. They don't want to be marginalized and condescended to like they were fragile little dolls, in need of our "protection." They don't want the rest of us to walk on eggshells around them. They really aren't as fragile and delicate as you make them out to be.
I think some of Trump's popularity and appeal lies in the fact that he treats everybody equally. Whether you are a black, a white, an Hispanic, a woman or a handicapped person, it does not matter to Donald Trump. He is not a "walking on eggshells" kind of guy. People find that very refreshing.
