Trump: Fox 'apologized' for mocking press release
The Hill ^ | January 28, 2016 | Rebecca Savransky

Fox News "apologized" to GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump for a press release the network released earlier this week mocking him, Trump said Thursday evening.

In an interview with CNN, Trump would not say who from Fox News called to apologize for the network's behavior. He said he was going to stick with his plans to hold an event to raise money for veterans instead of attending Fox's Thursday debate.

"I was treated very unfairly by Fox. Since then they've been excellent, they've been very nice, but it's too late," he told CNN's Brianna Keilar. "We have an event and we're going to make a lot of money."

Trump announced earlier this week he wouldn't attend the Republican debate, just four days before the Iowa caucuses. Instead, he planned to hold his own event to raise money for veterans. "The veterans have been treated horribly in our country," he said in the interview with CNN on Thursday. "We're going to take care of our veterans."

Trump said he might have considered attending the debate after Fox apologized if he hadn't already planned the rival event. He noted Fox News "could not have been nicer" in its attempts to get him to come to the debate. But at that point, it was too late.

The billionaire businessman has had an ongoing feud with Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly since the first GOP debate, held in August.

He told CNN he never asked that Kelly be removed as an anchor — although he added that he doesn't respect her and thinks she's "overrated."

Trump said a lot of people have told him they respect his decision because he "took on the establishment."

2 things:

1. Sounds like the ‘apology” was a last ditch effort to get DT to the debate.

2. What ever happened to the media reporting the news, not BEING the news?

The last ones not really a question just an observation, I know, that ship sailed a loooong time ago.

It has been recently discovered that the individual who works for Fox that is in charge of the debates, the moderators and who approves the questions and all that is involved has a direct connection to the Rubio campaign.

Megyn, Brett and Chris all report directly to Bill Sammon on all debate issues who is in charge of the Fox News debates. His daughter, Brooke Is Marco Rubio’s Press Secretary. It would appear that Marco gets the questions ahead of time. Awww , no way!

On Tuesday Megyn tweeted “ This race will look totally different, I promise, on Friday than it does today. 9:14pm Jan 25th

The cutesy twitter was transmitted before anyone began finding out about the ambush setup target Donald Trump with an inquisition from Muslim Activists, Illegal Alien amnesty activists, and put CAIR front and center in the debate format. Bill Sammon calls this attack questioning approach, “Murderboarding“

Also quite a lot of information just released about Rupert Murdoch’s secret amnesty agenda, secret meetings with Rubio and support from Fox broadcasts for the Gang-of-eight legislation.

Donald managed to get pledges $6 Million for the vets on his event. Had he had gone to the FOX event the vets would get zero.

Of course he asked for $5 million for the vets to offset what the vets would loose. Fox was too cheap to contribute.

“But they see Kelly as a future gravytrain superstar, and clearly put her importance over that of Trump. Which is fine, they made the bed and now they can sleep in it.”

Yeah, and President Trump is going to “pull up” her gravy train “tracks” next year!

Dude has thinner skin than Obama.

Obama was elected twice with the two highest vote totals in American history--by far. I guess being thin-skinned is not a detriment to getting elected.

Agreed on your post All of it.! Rubio is the establishment’s go to boy after Bush stumbled and fell. Rubio is their desperation candidate to force through the One World Order agenda of open borders and unlimited immigration which ultimately destroys American Sovereignty. Agenda 21 says it all.

And last night's debate had half of the normal audience.

So, check my math here.

US population is about 318 million. Let's assume the country is evenly divided at 50% leaning left and 50% leaning right. At 13 million viewers, the debate received the attention of only 8% of the country leaning right and only 4% of the entire population.

Not exactly a smashing success.

“Since some Conservatives have walked away from principles and America has become so jaded we deserve Hillary or Trump. Makes no difference. It will end the same.”

Oh Boo Hoo! What has been passing for “conservatives” in public office for decades isn’t worth a bucket of warm spit! How can you equate Trump to Hillary? We have a country that is sorely in need of a leader and I am willing to give Trump a chance because the rest of them are simply the “same tired $hit” we’ve seen for far too long. I haven’t abandoned my conservative principles, “the conservatives” have been abandoning theirs for years, because if they haddn’t, our country wouldn’t be in the shape that it is today.

Hello, I'm remiss by not sharing my information source. I think that the information will resonate with you.

The plan is to move Rubio up to the next level but in the end it is Jeb all the way. That has always been the plan but of course Trump's entrance last June has caused havoc of unbelievable dimension.

The game is worth Billions mostly stolen over the last several years from the American treasury by very bad people. I do not have the slightest concept of just what being a billionaire means. In an evil world I think that as a billionaire you are received as being a "GOD".

The site that I refer to is a blog ran by "Sundance". An entity that seems to have available inside information and often posts that are days ahead of the actual events. It is called "The last Refuge"

I think Fox almost HAD to publicly have Megan Kelly’s back, their chosen “celebrity” moderator on the panel this once, at great financial loss to their network on ad income, but I will not be surprised if they eventually and gradually ease her out. Epic fail on her part not being able to contain her dislike for a nominee, and at least give the appearance of impartiality. I think the network was all for Trump being taken down, but wanted it done with more subtlety. Instead we are all wise to the manipulation.

And Megan was right...the race does look completely different after the latest debate to her discredit and Fox News. Megan’s reputation, has taken a further beating, to boot. Betcha’ even more viewers will avoid her broadcast.

I think you’re right! Bush was just way too cocky earlier on stating definitively, “Trump will never be President”...he’s been told the fix was in, was in the know about what has been planned. He has been told to shut up, I reckon, coz’ he hasn’t been saying it lately, or apple carts have been upset.
