This ignores how people watch tv.

DVR. Computer open. Mute on. Kids running around.

But it’s useful for... Ad rates.

Very small % of people under 30 ever sit through any TV ads.

“Very small % of people under 30 ever sit through any TV ads.”

This may mostly apply to people under 30, but this family over 60 quit conventional TV a few years back not just because 33% of a show is advertising, but also because the content of most programs are too far left.

We love streaming, can pick and choose exactly what we want to watch. No ads, and either change shows or fast forward when the leftist stuff such as homo’s is snuck into a program.

And for the over-60 crowd, we call them bathroom breaks. I’m old enough to remember when it was one minute of commercials every 15 minutes. Now it looks like a 50/50 split on many shows....even the news shows run 4-5 minutes of commercials at a clip...enough for the bathroom, grabbing another beverage, some chips, check the email, then back at it.

If I were in charge of doling out ad dollars, most of it would go to product placement within the shows themselves, when people are actually watching, well, and facebooking...
