Personally I think Trump would be a terrible President and would be a 'yuge' disappointment to conservatives, so I am hoping against hope that his supporters turn out to be fans and not voters.

I agree and share the same hope.

Do you remember the ad campaign against drugs several years back?

The kid, on drugs, is standing on the train tracks with the train bearing down. The friend is standing away from the tracks, intensely and horrifically aware of what is about to transpire, while the drugged kid is oblivious to her impending fate.

I feel like the friend, seeing the obvious train-wreck that's coming. Only when it comes to a Trump presidency, the train hits everybody.

This way that you see yourself is the very reason people are not leaving Trump for Cruz. You have set yourself up as the “smart” one by claiming everyone else is dumb. It’s simply unappealing. There must be better arguments in favor of your chosen candidate as apposed to telling everyone else that they are stupid. The “you are a stupid dupe” argument is not helping Cruz’s numbers. Why?

What if the people supporting Trump aren’t stupid dupes but your friends, neighbors, and family.

Very interesting line of non-reasoning there, FRiend.

You see some sappy ad by the government about not taking drugs and it influences the way you think about Trump.

You sound like a Hillary fan. That is how her people think.
