Donald Trump Donated More to Clintons Than Veterans

The GOP frontrunner talks about his love for vets—but his foundation gave far more to the Clintons over the years than any group that helps military veterans.

Donald Trump decided to ditch Thursday night’s debate to raise money for veterans instead. The only problem is the money is going directly to The Donald J. Trump Foundation—an organization that has given more to the Clintons than to the troops.

Trump’s campaign launched donaldtrumpforvets.com today in advance of his showy counter event in Iowa during the Republican debate. The site, featuring the image of a Ukrainian actor posing as a soldier, promises that “100% of your donations will go directly to Veterans needs.”

We are seeing history repeating as farce, and then comes the great tragedy.

A Trump vs Hillary choice is, to me, clear evidence that we are near the end of the game.

As in the last days of Rome. Caligula, Nero, etc.

Yes, if I have a choice between Trumpolini or Killary, I’ll vote for Trumpolini.

But I’ll have no illusions other than he is a self-aggrandizing carnival barker for his own massive ego.

I imagine, given the source, that they are either cherry-picking or leaving out details. I also imagine you didn't bother to vet the article at all, which you should given the source.

If you weren't so hell-bent to bash Trump, you might take a minute to realize that. Instead, you dump a pile of liberal garbage on the forum and call it dinner.

I have proven it. There is nothing to be gained from a law suit.

No, this is something Donald does all the time. He quotes the Left to discredit his opponents. He does it for two reasons. One, it’s all he knows. He has not learned about other sources of information. Two, he doesn’t recognize the difference. When he does it, however, it’s swell for his fan club. Also, he doesn’t care if it is a lie. I do, but any criticism of Trump results in name calling and insults from his fans, who all agree character doesn’t matter for Trump.

So you feel you don’t need to do fact checking because you say Trump doesn’t either? You say character doesn’t matter yet you see no need to engage in character in vetting your posts from liberal sites? I guess you are too far around the bend to see the irony in that.

scores of lawyers are all saying the same thing, these are not armchair lawyers and there words are clear and unequivocal, you are a natural born citizen of the country that you were born in. read their words friend.

Canadian law flat out states that Ted Cruz is a Natural Born Citizen by virtue of having been born in Canada. Read it for yourself. section 5(a):

I’m just a guy that read a whole bunch of stuff about this topic and formed an educated opinion.

I am supportive of Trump’s candidacy, though I prefer Cruz. I am somewhat suspicious of Trump’s conservative bona fides, but I am not going to hold contributions to Dem candidates against him. I work with a real estate development company whose members couldn’t be more conservative, yet they make many many contributions to Democrats whom they despise. Why? Because the Democrats are in charge and greasing the palms of the Democrats in charge is the only way they can get anything done. It’s a cost of doing business.

I thought I had too but decided all the reading and trying to figure out the law was useless as I had never had a lawdectomy. Consequently, especially after all the mess with Obama, I decided the courts will have to decide it. Now, it does not seem that anybody has standing so I have given up until somebody that does have standing comes forward with a lawsuit.

The sooner the better as far as I am concerned and let the cards fall where they may. If Cruz and Rubio are determined legal then let’s have an election.

This nation is full of spoiled citizens who have had it so comfy they do not know what hard times are about.

Well it’s a good thing we have you here to remind us.

Your rant was really lovely but, IMO, misguided.

There is plenty of good reason (based on Trump’s history) to be skeptical of him. You know that as well as anyone here on this forum, unless you’ve been on a desert island out of touch for the last several decades.

If folks here at FR are leery of a politician buying, Clinton donating, admitted pro choice (in every way) GOP candidate, so be it. You are not the conscience of FR. You are just another anonymous poster on this forum.

I’m just wondering, for the record, how much Gideon Resnick of the Daily Beast has donated to Vets?

Right. Please pay no attention to Trump's $110,000 in donations to the Clinton Foundation.
