Right. The snow at the front of the truck is up to the hood. The back of the truck is MAYBE up to the tires.
Lavoy walks towards the back of the truck where the snow is way shallower. I should have been more clear about that. It’s not worth arguing that I contradicted myself about that. I didn’t.
What I did do though is not indicate that the depth of the snow is different from where the truck ends up, and where Lavoy ends up.

Let's focus on more important things. For instance, the business of the guys stationed in the trees on the ground - on BOTH sides, I presume.
We're gleaning some more interesting observations about the over-all scene, Free Republic style.
