I think Cruz was making a Trump joke by threatening to leave the stage. It failed. It bombed. And he ended up looking whiny and weak.

Cruz killed it tonight, took on all the attacks from Wallace and Kelly without a problem. Stood up like a man and knocked them down. He'll make a great president.
