Serious question: Could Cruz be elected VP without legal questions being raised?

Moot question. At this point the only person who can beat Cruz for the nomination would be Trump. And Trump can't be expected to select someone he doesn't think is qualified for the office.

The twelfth amendment to the constitution says that no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of president shall be eligible to the office of vice president so no, Cruz could not be elected VP without possible legal questions.
