Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee will be attending Donald Trump's Thursday night event, which is attempting to rival the GOP debate down the street in Iowa's capital city.
According to a tweet, the 2016 candidate will participate in the undercard debate and then head off to Drake University, where Trump is holding his event after bolting from the debate as his disputes continue with Fox News and Megyn Kelly, who is set to co-moderate the event.
Huckabee's announcement is part of a last ditch effort for the 2008 Iowa caucus victor to boost his standing with caucus-goers before Monday. No, it isn't. Fox debates sell commercials. Trump brings eyes to Fox debates. Those eyes raise the amount Fox gets for the commercials. If Trump has an event, he takes the money that is made from the commercials and donates it to a charity. Would it be better if he used Greenpeace or the Nature Conservancy as charities? How about NPR and PBS? There are lots of choices. That he chooses veterans' groups is to his credit.

When someone such as yourself posts only negative comments about our Republican candidates and berates their supporters over and over and over again supposedly on behalf of one of the other candidates... many of us are skeptical of the poster's motivation. The tactic you are using has little if any hope for success if your goal is to win support from those you are berating. This type of thing has happened frequently in the past.
Despite your mock surprise at this revelation, most of us learned this at an early age. Maybe you missed an important day in preschool or kindergarten... I don't know?
