“No western rancher I know (and I know a LOT of them) carries a handgun in his waist band.”
LOL! Excellent point. I thought about it for a while, and I couldn’t think of a single rancher I know either who carries in the waistband, even occasionally. To those who don’t live in the rural west, they wouldn’t understand how ludicrous such an accusation is. A six shooter strapped on the hip is just HOW IT IS DONE.
They specialize in ludicrous statements.
At Klamath they tried to tell everyone that the reason...the science...that required the Ranchers to not get irrigation water was because the Sucker fish needed high water levels to survive.
They actually said that mud grubbing trash fish needed high water levels in the lake to survive.
You decide if these feds are:
1) So unbelievably ignorant that they could believe such a thing...or...
2) So unabashedly arrogant that they are in essence saying, “We will give you the most ridiculous reason you can imagine and there’s not a damn thing you can do about it.”
My money is on number two.
James Butler Hickock carried his pistols in the waistband, and did not need a caliber starting with .40 to put opponents down. Back then, then didn’t most men on horse carry cross draw? I thought the hip was all a Hollywood invention.
