Paul and Trump are actually good friends. They golfed together for years, and got along very well.
Just saying I would not be surprised if Paul realized what is the point. He’ more likely to do it than not.
I don’t doubt they are friends. Just on the question of debate attendance, they’ve openly staked out opposing positions.
