Ted Cruz:
"I think any candidate for President owes it to the voters to go and stand in front of them, to answer the hard questions. I mean, it's a matter of basic respect to the men and women of Iowa...This is a job interview. And if you want a job interview, the first thing you should do to get the job is show up at the interview. And I think it's really remarkable that Donald Trump thinks so little of the men and women of Iowa that he is willing to skip the debate altogether. He doesn't think he should have any questions on his record. And it's really quite astonishing that Donald is apparently so afraid of Megyn Kelly. Look, you know, journalists ask tough questions. You know, I promise you, anyone who's going to be President of the United States - if you're afraid of Megyn Kelly, then you're going to be afraid of Hillary Clinton. And if you're afraid of Vladimir Putin, if you're afraid to have anyone ask questions, that does not bode well for what kind of Commander in Chief you make."...

Instead of Me2Ted I think I’ll start using 2LateTed.
Simply question for the DC Political/Media/Business machine
Why is choosing the moderators for a Presidential candidate debate more important to Fox News then having the front running Presidential candidate at the debate? Are the candidates or the Networks the focus of the debate?
That right there shows just why this whole “debate” process is totally messed up. The “Journalists” now think they are part of the story, not there to report on the event.
And our professional politicians are too cowardly to challenge them on it.
Senator Cruz, if elected are YOU going to be in charge or is the News media going to dictate TO you then also?
Too late to lose to old run away Trump! Do you suppose he lost his big orange hairpiece in his haste?
This is the seventh debate, not the first.
Telegraphing your punches is never a good idea. Rubio & Rand will wipe the floor with Cruz tonight.
Beck says he already won. Swore him in too. Guess we will see what the voters have to say about that.
Sure hope we don’t end up with a Canadian nominee.
That would not be good for Ted. Tough to come back from zero and three.,
Trump makes himself look like a small minded idiot with this jihad against Megyn Kelly. I don’t watch television. I have a vague notion of who Megyn Kelly is and I recall her from the last debate. I have no opinion on her one way or the other. In any debate, if Trump wants to push back against a line of questioning, that is his prerogative. But insult is not argument or debate. The crude misogynist garbage that spews out his mouth should be disqualifying.
“My father was a mailman...”
Oops thats the other guy who isn’t going to win the nomination...
Beck is at his best these days. Every bit as good as when he was tearing up those chalkboards on Fox News. And he is focused like a laser beam on promoting Ted Cruz and exposing Donald Trump’s TERRIBLE record.
Yep. Cruz will not be allowed to do anything meaningful. FOX will be handing the sweets out to RUBIO. Cruz will only be able to stand there. His #2 spot will then be in peril as FOX crowns Rubio the new kid to beat in Iowa.
I’m sure none in Cruz camp will complain about FOX’s treatment later. They know going in FOX is dirty. They are too happy Trump isn’t around to realize it means net ZERO for Cruz as far as FOX is concerned.
Wonder if FOX has any audience surprises planned for Cruz?
In my opinion, being there and facing Megyn Kelly is less than half the story. How they respond to questions from an Islamic apologist, an illegal immigrant and a Sanders supporter/communist will be far more important and will tell us a great deal about the candidates themselves.
As I posted yesterday, I want to see someone respond thusly:
âMs. Noor, thank you for the question. You have called Donald Trump a bigot, a racist, a Nazi and equated him - and, by extension, all of us on this stage - with Adolf Hitler. Do you realize or acknowledge that the world views and aims of Nazism and Islam - in 1932 as today, are almost identical in every respect? Are you aware that the founders of the Muslim Brotherhood also founded the Nazi Party of Egypt? Do you realize that the Waffen SS, run by Heinrich Himmler himself, commissioned and fielded three entirely Muslim divisions and that they were blessed by the Mufti of Jerusalem? Do you realize that the Nazi Party has officially re-emerged - not in Germany, but in Egypt?â
“I could go on, but, with all due respect, Ms. Noor, it is not Donald Trump, me, the Republican Party or even America that has a problem with Islam. The problem with Islam is Islam itself. You have a problem that you refuse to acknowledge or deal with and no amount of political correctness or feigned offense will change that fact.â
I’d like to see at least a few of them respond in a similar fashion to Dulce Candy about Mexico’s immigration laws and Mark Watson about the realities of socialism/communism. Iâll be happy with any variation on that theme, from any candidate. What we’re likely to see is a number of the candidates take the touchy-feely, politically-correct “high road” and see their poll numbers plummet - and rightly so.
Hahahaha. Ok.
The other Cuban, not the Canuck Cuban will probably beat him like he did the last time without The Donald as the foil.
They should play Beck at gitmo round the clock as torture for the religion of peace refugees.
I would have liked it better if he had said somthing like, 'sometimes journalists ask tough questions. And more often they ask stupid, loaded questions.'
