So what veteran group would you donate to?
Good question. I understand that Fisher House does good work. But I'm no expert as to which group is best, so I just go with what I know: the Salvation Army.

My wife and I volunteer and donate to the USO. They are a good organization. I do not know about the national leadership, but we know personally that the regional leadership are mostly volunteers and even the head of the region where we live relies mostly on his military pension to live on.
As much as we would have much preferred Trump to have held an event that benefitted the USO... the reality is that the Wounded Warrior group are extremely media savvy and were probably the only ones who could put something like this together on very short notice.
