I agree with your assessment. Cruz should have stuck to his original game plan. That was his best chance to get the Presidential nomination. Not as likely now, though still possible.

On the other hand, Trump MUST have Cruz supporters to win in the general.

I can definitely see a good deal in burying the hatchet. Cruz can agree to get a summary judgment on his eligibility. Cruz accepts the VP nod. The pair will be unstoppable.

Listen, there's no doubt that will definitely happen, regardless of who wins the nomination. But, Ted really took himself out of the equation for VP.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and predict that TRUMP will choose a woman for the VP slot. I even dare say a "Hispanic" woman.
