We're happily accommodating a despotic Beast and because we tell ourselves that these agents of the state are 'our neighbors', who 'just want to go home to their families at night', we turn a blind eye to what is about to happen to millions of us at the hands of these same agents of the state.

I did not and do not relieve the FBI agents of any of their own culpability for their own actions. I was discussing their likely mindset, not justifying their actions. I think I made it very clear that I believe both sides were in the wrong under the scenario I laid out.

But your rhetoric isn't constructive. You aren't going to change the mind of your average FBI agent by calling him a jack-booted Nazi. Clearly, the culture of the FBI is "us vs. them" and that puts all of us in danger.
