It's good to be in great conservative company.
Steve King, Steve Deace, and Rick Perry, Dana Rohrabacher, Tom McClintock: what do they all have in common?
They understand the threats--immanent and existential--posed by illegal immigration.
They vote against Big Government spending sprees, but support a common defense and promote the general welfare. Indeed, they regard the United States Constitution as a charter of clear and convincing mandates, not a bunch of ephemeral suggestions which the President can push aside with a phone and pen.
What else do they all have in common?
They choose Ted Cruz to be the Republican nominee and the next President of the United States.....

Exactly. I’d rather have an honest man saying something that I don’t like than a snake-oil salesman promising me my dreams.
I can respect the first man.
Big D
Cruz’s hometown of Houston has several venues that are just as big as Dallas’s AAC, but Cruz won’t dare book an event in any of them.
Yeah... brutal and rough... just what the most powerful nation on earth needs in a leader. SMH.
Teacher317 says “Vote Tinkerbell!”
I’ve been a freeper for more than 16 years. I cannot tell you how many times people here have said that we need a soldier in the WH. How many times they’ve lamented for a private citizen. For somebody who’s had to produce in the real world.
Soldiers are brutal and rough. They’re our ‘warrior class’ and that’s how they should be.
A successful man will have many of the same qualities as the soldier. They’re both determined, cold when they need to be, honest to a fault, and brave. Some would say arrogant. They’ve both been tested and come out stronger.
That creates a leader.
My husband and son are not of the ‘jet set’. Our friends are not refined.
But they’re ‘conservative’ to the bone. Perhaps more conservative than you will ever be because they’re harkening back to the days when 18 year olds stormed the beaches. They relate better to Sparta than the modern world. They actually kill their own food.
So no. They don’t pray every day and they aren’t always civilized. They swear too much and they don’t shower enough.
But every one of them would kill and die for you.
They’re men.
Men are good.
Men are rough and energetic and they love to conquer things. They thrive in situations with risk and danger.
And we need them badly.
So yes. I’ll embrace a man as our leader. It’s about damn time.
I got an email from Ted tonight. He was talking about his debate challenge to Trump, a really bad sign. A candidate only does that when he’s behind.
Ted claimed in the email that he is surging in the polls but I’m darned if I can find that. He is moving up nicely in a couple of state polls, but Trump is moving up as fast or faster. Perhaps he has internal polling that shows a surge.
Iowa is unpredictable. I’m guessing Cruz will have the better ground game and win it but that’s just a wild ass guess with nothing behind it.
Tagline still operational...
I thought his announcement was tepid and he stumbled in above his head. He got way more than the self-promotion he was looking for. We should tweet/vote for him not to attend the debate. LOL.
The list of endorsements will not affect those who support the candidates. What does matter is who most expresses the needs of the country. We will find out after the Iowa Caucus.
Go Trump!
“Delusion knows no end, but there is a time limit. Come Monday night we should have a dose of reality. Although denial may last a while. ;-)”
What do you think the breakdown will be?
He’s not attending.
He’s putting on an event in Iowa for wounded vets Thursday evening.
It will be yuuge.
Few people will make it through 20 minutes of the “debate”.
If Trump runs from Megyn...he’ll be humbled by Hillary.
And Ted doesn’t need to win NY,NJ or PA to win it all.
If Trump loses Iowa, how will he react?
I think weâll hear the following within 24 if not 2 hours:
1. Iowa has a stupid caucus system
2. Iowans are stupid, backward people, who love pigs
3. No one cares about Iowa
4. Iowa doesnât pick winners, so its good to lose Iowa
5. The people of New Hampshire are smarter than Iowans
6. Iowans are bad, bad people
Very doubtful that either one ever could. Is there any basis in fact that leads you to think Trump could, or is that just total fancy based on "great, great ideas" and "people love me, they really, really love me"?
Marie, Hitler was a painter and a dog lover. What do you think that tells us about art and canines?
Thanks for the clarification. I thought it was a photo of his wrestling days.
You see, statements like that are what make my head spin. You have Trump openly stating that if and when he ever sins he'll think about asking God for forgiveness, and you see that as being like the rest of us.
I get the fascination of watching Trump whip the media like a rented mule and crap on the GOP elites, hell its impossible not to like the guy for it. But I know that Trump never for a second thinks of me as anything but a sucker.
Let's take Trump's disposition to immediately attack people who have left his camp or he has just failed to get on board. You know where I've seen that before? High power salesman. You are the most fantastic, smartest person in the world, while they attempting the sale, but once they determine that you are not buying, you become an idiot that they don't have the time of day for. Its a self-defense mechanism to prevent them from ever losing their confidence. You see it in salesman who don't believe in the product they are selling. Salesman who truly believe that you need what they are selling don't get mad when they can't make the sale, they have a sense of loss for you. Their confidence is fine, because they are motivated by the virtue of the product itself.
Show me one poll where Trump does better against Hillary than Cruz does. They all show Cruz doing better and usually show Cruz winning and Trump losing.
The negatives around Trump are huge. He has more GOPers vowing not to vote for him than anyone but Jeb and the Dems and independents who would never vote for him appear to be a reality as well.
And should Trump win Iowa?
Tweeted during the night before the sun comes up:
1. People love me, they really, really love me
2. The caucus system is probably the best system
3. Really, really good people tell me that Iowa is the most important state to win
By 7am it will be the last words or thoughts he’ll ever have about the dumb pig farmers of Iowa. He’ll be moving his circus to New Hampshire and barking for the crowd there.
It’s really very simple.
We need the most conservative and effective POTUS we can get elected.
Get. Elected.
Cruz seems like a decent guy, but he can’t win the general.
Trump is the best candidate who actually can.
