Trump Vows a ‘Close,’ ‘Good Relationship’ With Pelosi and Schumer as President
The Blaze ^ | 01/26/2016 | Fred Lucas

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump used a Tuesday appearance on MSNBC to tout the fact that, as president, he would work with Democratic leaders in Congress to get things done.

He specifically talked about House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and asserted he was "close" to Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.), who is expected to replace outgoing Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.)

"I've always had a good relationship with Nancy Pelosi. I've never had a problem. Reid will be gone," Trump said on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" Tuesday. He continued:

"I always had a decent relationship with Reid, although lately, obviously, I haven't been dealing with him, so he'll actually use my name as the ultimate -- you know, as the ultimate of the billionaires in terms of, you know, people you don't want. I always had a great relationship with Harry Reid and frankly, if I weren't running for office I would be able to deal with her or Reid or anybody. But I think I'd be able to get along and work very well with Nancy Pelosi and just about everybody."

If as you say, this is what it has come to, then the nation is dead already. the election will function simply as a means to remove the life-support mechanism. IMO.

I DON’T FREAKING CARE.

Because in the long run, we are boned no matter if any other candidate gets in.

Cruz is utterly pathetic. He’s a me-too candidate on this issue, can’t bring himself to say the word ‘deport’ and is using all the uniparty weasel words about ‘secure the border first’ and ‘conversation.’ Rubio and Bush are in favor of illegals, and none of the others are strong enough to do anything other than what their masters desire.

But if Trump gets in, there is the possibility that he’s being truthful.

So complain all you want. I don’t care any more. This is the only issue that matters this year. Trump is the only one who’s correct on it. Therefore I’m supporting him. The end.

He has no conservative values. If the people inside the country become like the people outside, what good is a d@mn wall? Trump can probably make the trains run on time too. So what.

I do think Trump, given his current wife/girlfriend, would show those cheap prostitutes a lot more respect than those gullible voters who back him.

Then we might as well go with dignity.

Personally, I’m holding out hope that a Prez Trump will at least fulfill THIS campaign promise.

Dignity has its uses, but not in this case.

I’d rather go down as a pugilist.

Emperors don’t compromise Bob.

Maybe you didn’t you know that Bob when you wanted Trump for Emperor.

As a mere president he would have a majority in the house and senate so he wouldn’t need to make deals with democrats which is about as close to the emperor of your dreams as you can get Bob.

Your hoped for Emperor Trump is in reality a democrat butt boy.

Remember when I said no other candidate in the race would care? No other candidate in the race has shown that they care, except as a me-too.

Oboma cared about a kid getting shot in Chicago. He cried. He didn't cry when fort Hood got attacked, or after the Boston bombing. He didn't cry after the Christmas slaughter either. You see......his caring was selective, and FAKE.

Cruz is steady when it comes to Constitutional law. Period. He's been a Constitutionalists since day one.

Trump? Well, Trump really cared for the democrat politicians up until he decided to run for the presidency.. He couldn't praise them enough. In fact, he literally threw money at them he loved their policies so much.
Do you REALLY think his concern is genuine, or is he just trying to "make the sale?"
If he loved immigration in 2015, do you REALLY think he's had a genuine spiritual epiphany overnight and has seen the Conservative light? Really?? Do you really believe he "cares?"
(All Trump cares about is Trump.)

RE: Schumer is going to be the Senate Majority Leader. Pelosi will be the House Minority Leader. Trump will have a 45-state landslide mandate.

So, you are expecting Trump to win in a landslide but the Republicans to lose the Senate?

How likely is that?

Actually the Senate is up for grabs...so it’s VERY POSSIBLE that the next Republican president will have to be willing to negotiate with Democrats to get anything passed.

And given the GOPe running the House, I wouldn’t be surprised if we lose that in 2018 also.

He has to have the cheap illegal labor for his hotels, golf courses, and construction projects.

You just don't get it, do you.

No, the good doc and others -are thinking small. So many varied advantages with a Trump Presidency. Trump is a deal maker and an excellent one at that. Trump can and will make 'deals' with Putin for example -that in the end- will wind up with the Russians being bankrupt again.

Heh. You make a good point.

Of course, there’s a certain kind of dignity in going down fighting too.

Whatever the case, I don’t actually intend to give up. I am sticking to my points about Trump, mind you, but might as well die on my feet rather than live on my knees before anyone else but God.

I have NO idea what you’re talking about and where you get these comparisons.

Trump acts like he cares. None of the other candidates in the field can even get that far. I’d rather roll the dice on the chance that a narcissist would do the right thing because it’ll get him praise than have someone who I KNOW will do the wrong thing.

And if you can’t address how any of the other candidates would be better, then you’re never going to convince me.
