First, it helps Trump.
Second, Cruz could benefit from it but only IF all the other GOPe candidates agree not to attack him, but support him.
But it could destroy Cruz as well if they all still think they have a chance and attack him, piling on.
Fox has no obligation to bow at the alter of the Cult of Trump. Every candidate in politics has to field tough questions â often from hostile reporters. Itâs part of the game. If he canât handle it, heâs not fit to be POTUS.
The questions were not tough. They were “when did you stop beating your wife” type loaded and demeaning questions. Fox clearly had spent 100s of hours digging up that trash.

It was pretty funny. Trump plays stupid games and he won a stupid prize.
I think he’s just playing games so he can garner the publicity from the other debaters.

You are a Cruz supporter.
You should be joyful that Cruz gets center stage.
When everybody else piles up on him, he will get
the chance to show he is the smartest lawyer in the
country. Celebrate the gift you and other Cruz
supporters have just be given!
They can and will talk about him in the debate. He had the opportunity to be there. But, expect Donald to turn the table on them and severely mock them for their attempted criticisms.

I don’t think they will be able to talk about Trump...the candidates can only respond to the other candidates when they are mentioned by the other candidate. At least that is my understanding.
Poor wittle Donald. I'm sorry he is really scared of a wittle woman like Megyn Kelly. Is he going to use that same tactic in the general election? You really think, the strategy of taking my toys home and not playing is going to work?
Hey, I am happy. After some great savvy political moves, he starting to make some bone head plays. I hope he keeps this trend up.
You should take a breath and realize the press release is what pushed Trump over the edge.
You should have seen the way Trump handled the reporter at his presser today.
Megyn's irrelevant, not a threat.
So not only is Trump scared of the girl, you’re saying he’s scared of Cruz.
I agree with Mr. Trump’s decision. The press release put out by Fox after he dropped out, confirmed my suspicions about how they would treat him during the actual debate. He doesn’t need this horsesh%%.
What’s interesting is that my post # 21, a simple statement of what has happened, has received so many responses from folks thinking they need to explain what really happened.
I believe it when I (don’t?) see it.
Yay! More Rubio/Cruz fights...wait, haven't we seen all this before? Why are there so many debates anyways?
I’m not sure it will happen that way. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Trump suddenly showed up and took the occasion to bash Fox News some more. I am very pessimistic about Cruz’s chances though I expect to vote for him on March 1.
I have read the thread and all it’s told me is Trump is scared of the girl and you guys are fine with that. Whatever floats your boat.
Getting late to put something big together.
