Word is spreading - Donald Trump supporters are outraged over his treatment by a cabal of self- appointed representatives of conservatism like Glenn Beck and Erick Erickson, among others, who utilized the National Review magazine to declare their opposition to the current GOP frontrunner in what is an unprecedented show of force by media and political establishment figures to attempt to convince voters they are incapable of making their own decision regarding who to cast their vote for.
It might very well prove to the final ingredient in a Trump tsunami once Republican primary voting is underway.

Opponents of gun rights try to come up with scary sounding phrases like "assault weapons", "military-style weapons" and "high capacity magazines" to confuse people. What they're really talking about are popular semi-automatic rifles and standard magazines that are owned by tens of millions of Americans. Law-abiding people should be allowed to own the firearm of their choice. The government has no business dictating what types of firearms good, honest people are allowed to own.
He also wants to establish a national right to carry. He has the best 2A plan of any candidate who's ever run.
Yes, I have seen the polls that have Cruz beating every Dem in a debate, but that is opinion and an opinion based soley on stupidity and "feelings"; not on any kind of actual knowledge and facts.
I'm certainly not telling you who to root or vote for. You've made your choice, but you won't be happy with the outcome.
I’m concerned Biden might get in and dedicate it to his late son- and get people riled up to vote based on heartstrings emotion.

I counted entries for DSCC (both types), Democratic Congressional Committee and Democratic Senatorial Committee all together to get my total for generic Democrat Party donations.
Those were not dinners, were they? And would Kentuicans for Strong Leadership be holding dinners in New York? That's on you list, too, but that might be understandable if you live in KY. I don't know if you do.
Even so, looks like he did donate to MConnell as well as support him on social media while we were trying to primary him for betraying his campaign promises about using the majority we gave him to fight Obama.

Calling on the NRO is like letting your crazy uncle in the attic speak on your behalf at the church social. I let an old army buddy speak at a county church fellowship. I held my head in my hands as he thought to get the crowd with him by telling a dirty joke. That srategy would have been just fine in front of a bunch of troops at the club, but it fell a bit flat in that setting. I’m still chuckling as I sit here remembering it.
But Trump hasn’t donated to Republicans more than Democrats counting since 1999. It was the opposite, even with a Republican only record since October 2010.
So with a little over 5 years of Republican only catch-up, he has almost, but not quite, got it even. That was a pretty big deficit, don’t you think?
Would you accept this from any candidate other than Trump?

Yes, but I thought we wanted someone BETTER than President Obama. Under Trump, they’ll all be legal; they’ll all be getting paid far below poverty rates; and they’ll all get government-subsidized health insurance.

Sometimes voting to cloture is a way to get it to the floor before it gets worse in committee. You do it if you think they have not mangled the bill with with riders to buy enough votes. It can be a risky play and can backfire on you.
But to ascribe malice to Cruz on the Senate maneuver would be equivalent to assigning malaise to one of Trump’s bankruptcies.
I say the cloture vote for Cruz and the bankruptcies for Trump were not malice, but both the result poor execution. Mistakes.
Were small. Do you think the Koch brothers’ have a similar donation record? They have a pretty decent sized business.
Yeah, and since we’re not mind-readers or seers, we probably won’t ever know the whole truth about the matter.

I think Freepers should all work together to get the best information since we are collectively trying to restore the republic. I appreciate that YOU took the time to do the research as well. A great place to research donations is opensecrets.org.
It may sound shocking but Trump does not give a ton of PAC money, he is a lightweight in that area so he is not trying to buy lobbyists to change legislation. What he buys is “face time” more than anything. Trump is he is a very frugal guy and he wants to make his donations count.
I understand your concern about the Mitch McConnell donations and I have a theory on that. In 2012, Trump was disgusted that Romney lost and within days after that election, he decided that he was going to run for President. He threw a ton of money at Mitch McConnell; Senate incumbents have the highest return rate of any office and was the smart choice if you are serious about a run. Trump is an outsider and he will need friends like Senate Majority Leader. Have you heard McConnell bash Trump outright? Heck no.
I am supporting Trump because the last election was absolutely bungled by Romney. My husband and I gave time and treasure, only to see Romney lose it on the ground in the last 3 weeks. We went to Sheldon Adelson’s home (nice people) in October right before the election and the Romneys were clearly out of gas. Perhaps, Hurricane Katrina and Stuart Stephen’s miscalculations were divine intervention. We can only hope things work out better this time.
When all the enemy respects is toughness, or violence, you don’t play nice.
Politics ain’t beanbag. Reagan knew how to sit down with his political enemies and skin them alive while smiling at them. They may not have ‘LIKED’ him but they sure did respect him.

The reality is that all men have shortcomings.
The first president I voted for was Jimmy Carter. I did so because Jimmy made it publically known that he was a "born-again" Christian. It turned out that Jimmy put the nation's ungodly values over God's. I regret voting for Carter. I want a man in office who will put God's priorities over the nation's. I think Cruz is that man.
I'm still praying about who to support but for now it is Cruz.
And you are being absurd to compare voting for something that will harm the entire nation, to something a businessman in the PRIVATE SECTOR!
But keep on making stupid excuses for Teddy as you attempt to trash Trump. That's all you ever do.
