Actually his ad is accurate, but his tweet about it is indeed false - and the explanation offered by Trump in this article is just as false as to the circumstances as to how he didn’t end up getting the house - that he just decided not to purchase the house - that is not true either. Had he not been halted by a judge he would have indeed flattened the house. This is like saying if an arsonist is trying to burn down a house but someone steps in and throws water on before they have a chance to, the arsonist is not guilty and has no moral culpability.

The lady didn’t take the $1 million offer in the 70’s. Trump offered her $2 million, according to him and backed up by the prices paid to her neighbors. She refused. The city got upset with her because they had committed to the casino plans to revitalize the city center and condemned it giving her 250K compensation. She went to court and the court sided with her. She got to make her choice. Newark did the same sort of things to build NJPAC.
What evidence is there that Trump strong armed the woman or “colluded” to get her house condemned? Just because someone wants to paint him as a bad person you can’t make it up as you go along.

Had Cruz stated -”Had the judge not intervened- Trump was going to flatten the house for a parking lot for the casino.” Trump is right about eminent domain as we have seen that used in downtown Nashville again and again. My neighborhood, where Andrew Jackson lived, has changed because the Dem Mayor and his pals wanted to redo part of the downtown where poorer folks lived. The plan entailed making more high rises plus expensive homes for yuppies where projects and many minority types lived. The house flippers came in and made homes that were 180K max bring 500K plus. Hell one brought over a million. I call it the progressive party urban renewal. You have probably seen this as Obama is dead set about changing the percentage of minorities by zip codes.
