Dear FRiends, We need your continuing support to keep FR going strong.
FR is funded solely by contributions made by the liberty loving patriots who enjoy and use it.
We are beholden to no political party.
No advertisers, no outsiders, no sugar daddies, no corporate string pullers.
This means no commercial ads. No annoying pop-ups. No ad tracking. No mail campaigns. No spam. No one trying to control us.
Definitely no government subsidies or tax breaks.
We are self-funded, fiercely independent and enjoy our freedom to speak plainly in the support of God, family, country, liberty!!
But we cannot exist without you.
Every donation counts no matter how big or small. If you can donate $5, $10, $20, $100 or more, it would be greatly appreciated.
Your loyal support makes Free Republic possible and your continuing participation makes FR the number one pro-life, pro-family, pro-small government, pro-defense conservative forum on the Net!!
And we're going to need FR now more than ever to combat the current crop of Marxists and progressives who have infested our government and public institutions and who are dead set on destroying the final remnants of our cherished constitution and our precious God-given liberty!!
Please click the secure server link above or donate by mail to: Free Republic - PO Box 9771 - Fresno, CA 93794
Make it a monthly if you can. We have some very generous FReeper sponsors kicking in an extra ten bucks for every new monthly signed up. And we have 31 new monthlies so far this quarter.
Or send in a hundred dollars or more per quarter and join I_be_tc's growing list of 300 Club patriots. I_be_tc sends in $100 per quarter and challenges 300 others to do the same. If we could get 300 FReepers to send in $100 per quarter, these FReepathons would complete much faster. And we have received 83 donations of $100 or more so far this quarter.
Please get your donations in early so we can wrap this baby up early.
Thank you all very much!!
God bless.

"Last Night 3 Cargoes of Bohea Tea were emptied into the Sea. This Morning a Man of War sails.
This is the most magnificent Movement of all. There is a Dignity, a Majesty, a Sublimity, in this last Effort of the Patriots, that I greatly admire. The People should never rise, without doing something to be remembered-something notable And striking. This Destruction of the Tea is so bold, so daring, so firm, intrepid and inflexible, and it must have so important Consequences, and so lasting, that I cant but consider it as an Epocha in History." Dear FRiends,
We're going to need your support now more than ever to get through these bad times. And with these foolish godless liberal/progressive politicians from both parties delving deeper and deeper into statist/socialism things are bound to get worse unless commonsense conservatives band together to find a way to fight them off.
As we all know, America was founded on the principle that all men are created equal and endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights, including the rights to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.
America was the first and only nation as far as I know to recognize that our rights come from God not from a king or from a government. Our unalienable rights cannot be taken away by man or by government. Our government cannot exist but by our consent. We are the sovereigns.
We do not grant our consent to a government or to government leaders that do not defend our God-given unalienable rights to the hilt.
As a conservative site, Free Republic is here to conserve (defend) our unalienable rights - the entire package with no exceptions - that means we're pro-God, pro-Life, pro-family, pro-gun, pro-Liberty, pro-limited government, pro-defense, pro-Constitution, pro-Bill of Rights, etc., with no exceptions!
We're now locked in a battle in the defense of those rights against the godless liberals, progressives and statists, against our own party and against our own party's presumptive nominee who has a solid history of trampling on these very same God-given unalienable rights that we are sworn to defend, and even against some of our own members.
The nation, the party, the conservative movement, the tea party, and even our beloved Free Republic is being ripped apart at the seams.
The only solution I can offer is that we must all continue to place our faith in God and not a certain political party and certainly not in a certain politician that has an anti-conservative, pro-abortion, pro-homosexual agenda, gun grabbing, statist big government record and a nasty habit of lying for political gain.
If FR is to survive this turmoil so that we live to fight another day, we must have your support. If you feel the same way that I do that our God-given unalienable rights are worth defending, Life is worth defending, family is worth defending, Liberty is worth defending, the Pursuit of Happiness is worth defending, that our constitution and all of our rights are worth restoring and defending, that a free America as it used to be is worth restoring and defending, then please make a contribution today. And I do know that you believe in a free America as I do or you would not be here.
FR is supported solely by donations made by freedom loving people like you. We are not beholden to political parties, news agencies, sugar daddies, advertisers, the government or anyone else. We are self-funded, self-governed and passionately defend and enjoy our freedom and independence...

Good evening. I am here tonight to announce my intention to seek the Republican nomination for President of the United States.
I am sure that each of us has seen our country from a number of viewpoints depending on where we have lived and what we have done. For me it has been as a boy growing up in several small towns in Illinois. As a young man in Iowa trying to get a start in the years of the great depression and later in California for most of my adult life.
I have seen America from the stadium press box as a sportscaster, as an actor, officer of my labor union, soldier, officeholder and as both Democrat and Republican. I have lived in an America where those who often had too little to eat outnumbered those who had enough. There have been four wars in my lifetime and I have seen our country face financial ruin in depression. I have also seen the great strength of this nation as it pulled itself up from that ruin to become the dominant force in the world.
To me our country is a living, breathing presence, unimpressed by what others say is impossible, proud of its own success, generous, yes and naive, sometimes wrong, never mean and always impatient to provide a better life for its people in a framework of a basic fairness and freedom. Ronald Reagan

"My approach recognizes the basic principle of a written Constitution. We "the people" adopted a written Constitution precisely because it has a fixed meaning, a meaning that does not change. Otherwise we would have adopted the British approach of an unwritten, evolving constitution.
Aside from amendment according to Article V, the Constitution's meaning cannot be updated, or changed, or altered by the Supreme Court, the Congress, or the President.
Of course, even when strictly interpreted as I believe it should be, the Constitution remains a modern, "breathing" document as some like to call it, in the sense that the Court is constantly required to interpret how its provisions apply to the Constitutional questions of modern life.
Nevertheless, strict interpretation must never surrender to the understandably attractive impulse towards creative but unwarranted alterations of first principles." Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas

the duty of self-preservation, commonly called the first law of nature."
