I think it has. The uncertainly over qualifications is sinking into the rankings, slowly, and the loan disclosure, etc. are creating some measure of doubt as to Cruz's honesty. I think Cruz was in fact doing MUCH better two or three weeks ago, than he is doing today. I'm talking on the order of a 20 point swing in the margin.
Well, I don’t take the tack that Sen. Cruz is lying. No need. What we’ve been seeing in my view is a pattern of poor judgement. I left over TPA. Others left over the forgetful citizenship issue. Still more will walk over the forgetful insurance issue. Or the creepy ads. Or the Jimmy Swaggart like fundraising. Or the Glenn Beck association.
I believe that Sen. Cruz has done great damage to his political future. To the extent that he could lose his senate seat. He has no one to blame for that but himself.
