I doubt she ever read those cables. Hillary was not a hands on manager. The decision not to provide more protection was left to the bureaucrats, some of whom I know and have worked for, e.g., Pat Kennedy. This is not exonerate Hillary. She must have signed the security wavier to allow the Benghazi mission to operate.
When it came to raising money through the Clinton Foundation, she was busy answering e-mails while getting paid as Sec. of State. How can public servants get away with working other jobs, not focusing on their job descriptions? Are many of these political appointed hacks qualified to lead very complicated agencies? They go in poor and become rich milking the political system. They are not patriots!
Some political appointees are better than others. The reality is that the career bureaucrats really run these agencies. I won't disparage all political appointees as not being patriots. Most of them don't rake in huge amounts of money after leaving government service. The Clintons and the Bushes certainly did. And Obama will big time.
I think if that were case they would have thrown him under the bus lickity split.
